What crawlers see

Paste a URL. We show the text in the HTML your server sends, and flag pages that are only a JavaScript shell.

Server HTML vs the rendered page

Googlebot often renders JavaScript. ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude search crawlers usually do not. If this tool shows a few words inside a root div, those assistants have nothing to quote.

Questions

Is this what Googlebot sees?

It is the first response: the HTML before JavaScript. Googlebot can render JavaScript later. Many AI crawlers stop at this HTML, so an empty shell is a real problem for citations even when Google eventually indexes the page.

Why do Lovable, Bolt, v0, and Cursor sites look empty here?

Those builders often ship a root div plus a script bundle. The words appear only after the browser runs that script. Put the important text in server-rendered or static HTML if you want crawlers to quote it.

Why did the check say my site refused / returned 403?

Bot protection (often Cloudflare) blocked our server. Install Shipcheck extension 0.3.9+ and run again so we can read the page in your browser. If we had to open a tab to pass a challenge, the text may include JavaScript-rendered content — more than most bots see — so treat a high word count after a challenge carefully.

Does a low word count mean Google can’t index me?

Not always. Googlebot can render JavaScript later. Many AI search crawlers do not. Thin server HTML is a real risk for ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude citations even when Google eventually indexes the page.
