Free website checker

Paste a URL to check SEO and share previews, security headers, launch basics, links, AI crawler access, speed, and accessibility in one report.

What this checks

  • Search and sharing: title, description, canonical, noindex, H1, Open Graph and X tags, share image, viewport, lang, favicon, structured data
  • Security headers: HSTS, Content-Security-Policy, and four more, with a grade
  • Launch basics: HTTPS, the HTTP to HTTPS redirect, a real 404 for missing pages, robots.txt, XML sitemap, and the first 20 links on the page
  • AI search: which AI search crawlers robots.txt allows, whether content is in the server HTML, and llms.txt
  • Speed: Google PageSpeed Insights mobile test, plus real-user Core Web Vitals when available
  • Accessibility preview: Lighthouse's automated accessibility checks, with the number of failing elements
  • Fix these first: every issue ranked by whether it hurts indexing, traffic, or conversion, with the exact fix for your platform (Next.js, WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, or custom code)

What a website cannot check

A server only sees what your site sends to a bot. It cannot reach localhost or staging, sign in, click through your page, or run the full WCAG 2.2 audit on the page as people see it. The Shipcheck extension does those checks in your own browser.

Questions

Is this the same as the Shipcheck extension?

It covers many of the same checks for public pages, but not all. The website reads the HTML your server sends and asks Google PageSpeed Insights for speed and accessibility results. The extension checks the fully rendered page in your own browser, so it also works on localhost, staging, and pages behind a login, and adds the full WCAG 2.2 audit, Web Vitals from your own clicks, focus order, fix prompts, and reports.

Why does my score change between scans?

The speed test is a single simulated mobile visit, and network and server load vary from run to run. The other checks only change when your site changes. Speed results are cached for 10 minutes; use "Run speed test again" for a fresh run.

Does a good accessibility score mean my site is accessible or compliant?

No. The preview runs Lighthouse's automated accessibility checks, a subset of a full WCAG 2.2 audit, and automated tools cannot judge things like whether alt text or link names make sense. Use it to find problems, then test with a keyboard and a screen reader.

Why did the scan say my site refused the check?

Some sites use bot protection (for example Cloudflare) or require a login, so our server gets a challenge page instead of your site. Visitors may still see the site fine. The extension checks the page in your own browser, so bot protection does not get in the way.

Where do the speed numbers come from?

From Google's PageSpeed Insights API: a Lighthouse test on a simulated mobile device, plus real Chrome user data from the last 28 days when Google has enough traffic for your page or site. INP needs real interactions, so the test run shows Total Blocking Time instead.

Is it free?

Yes, with a fair-use limit: 20 scans and 6 fresh speed tests per hour. No sign-up.
